Cyber Wurx is Moving

Our datacenter is relocating to a new Atlanta-based facility. Here is what you need to know, and what we are doing to make this transition seamless for our customers.

We are writing to share an important update about our facility and what it means for our customers.

After almost 20 years at our home at 55 Marietta St. in downtown Atlanta, Cyber Wurx will be relocating our datacenter to a new facility in Marietta, GA, approximately 15 minutes north of our current location. We expect to begin the migration process in later this month, with our goal being to have all customer equipment fully transitioned by September, 2026.

This move comes after we were informed by the owners of our current building that they are sunsetting their retail colocation operations and will no longer be renewing leases for small-scale colocated datacenters like ours. This news came as a surprise to us and is a clear departure from what we understood to be their prior commitments. We want to be upfront with you about that, because you deserve to understand the full picture of why this is happening.

“We are committed to making this move as transparent and low-impact as possible for our customers. We are approaching this with the care and planning your businesses depend on.”

— Chris Schwarz, Owner

What is changing

We are moving all colocated customer equipment from our current facility to our new location. We selected our new site carefully, with a focus on maintaining – and where possible improving – the standards you rely on. The new Coresite-owned facility offers greatly increased cooling capacity, higher power density per cabinet allowing for greater equipment density, continued access to many ISP cross-connects via Coresite, greater ease of access to equipment when visiting on-site, and greater security thanks to location, building infrastructure, and on-site protocols.

Our new location will be at the Coresite AT2 facility, located at 1130 Powers Ferry Place, Marietta, GA 30067

What this means for you

We will not move your equipment without coordinating directly with you first. Every migration will be scheduled around a mutually agreed-upon maintenance window, and nothing will happen without your knowledge and sign-off.

Over the coming weeks, we will be reaching out to each of our customers individually to walk through what this means for your specific setup and to begin planning your migration timeline. If you have a larger or more complex environment with us, you can expect to hear from us sooner.

We do not anticipate any changes to our service agreements, service levels, or pricing as a result of this move.

What happens next

We will be in touch with your individual migration plan and timeline in the coming weeks. In the meantime, if you have questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to reach out to us directly – we would rather hear from you early than have you left wondering.

We know this kind of news can create uncertainty, and we do not take lightly the trust you place in us to keep your infrastructure safe and running. We are committed to being straightforward with you at every step of this process and to making the transition as seamless as we possibly can.

Thank you for being our customer.
